David Wu, D.D.S. |
Dr. David Wu grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended Amherst College in Massachusetts and graduated cum laude. After working as a math/science teacher for two years, he attended NYU dental school and graduated at the top of his class. He then completed a one year GPR at Jamaica Queens to become more versatile at all different aspects of dentistry before attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Montefiore Medical Center for a 3 year residency in orthodontics.
Since then, he has worked at numerous offices throughout the New York City area. Dr. Wu is a member of ADA, AAO and routinely takes continuing education courses to keep his training up to date with the latest orthodontic innovations. He excels at treating difficult adult dentition as well as adolescent malocclusions and offers Invisalign, clear ceramic braces to meet the esthetic needs of many patients. In addition, he routinely places mini-implants (temporary anchorage devices) to enable traditionally difficult cases to be treated with greater ease and efficiency.
During his spare time, he enjoys art, Broadway shows, fine food & wine, traveling and yoga.

Adam H Vaghari, DDS |
Dr. Vaghari joined the practice in 2009. He is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia and attended the University of Pittsburg where he received a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, then moved to New York City where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University.
He completed a residency at the Veteran's Hospital in Brooklyn, where he received advanced training in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implants.
In his free time he enjoys biking and golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. He also attends many performing arts in New York.

Myung S. Moon, D.M.D. |
Dr. Myung S. Moon, 1998 graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and joined the Woodside Dental Center in September 2006. She has extensive post-graduate training in cosmetic dentistry and endodontic therapy (root canal). She enjoys working in all phases of dentistry and especially with anxious adult patients and children.
Dr. Moon is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Association and Queens County Dental Society. She holds a BS in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Dr. Moon lives in Forest Hills, NY with her husband and their two children, Jacqueline and Laura. She enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and golfing. She also drives to cultural events NYC offers.

Jim Gharda, D.M.D. |
Life long Queens resident. Graduate of Boston University School of Dentistry. Residency in Massachusetts. Two Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Anthropology.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends. I am a care enthusiast and huge Mets fan.

Vanita Mudgil, D.D.S. |
Dr Vanita Mudgil received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Mudgil went on to complete an additional one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital before commencing her specialty training. After three years of extensive specialty training at the New York University College of Dentistry’s prestigious Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Mudgil went on to receive her Diplomate status.
She is one of a few board certified Periodontists and uses her expertise to enhance each individual smile. She is compassionate, caring and an expert in treating dental anxiety.

Dr. Yogesh Bhatt - Operations & Financial Officer |
Yogesh received his B.D.S degree (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Bombay University - India in 1977. He received his D.D.S degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1981. He also received training in M.B.A.
Yogesh joined our practice twelve years ago. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and listening to Classical music.

My name is Carolina Hwang. I have been working as an office administrator with Woodside Dental Center for about 5 years. I have graduated from Queens College and received my BA in Sociology and Fine Arts.
In my spare time I enjoy going to museums, traveling and spending time with my family.

Sandra Peralta - Dental Assistant |
I am Sandra Peralta and I work as a dental assistant for our Woodside Dental Center. I have over four years of experience in the field of dentistry. My levels of expertise include the assistance of periodontal surgery, implant surgery and general dental procedures.
Also I am fluent in English and Spanish. I am not only knowledgeable about dentistry, but I also have a great concern for the comfort of our patients. Currently, I am attending to New York City College of Technology to major in Radiology Technology and Imaging Quality.

My name is Emmie Martinez. I have been working as an office
administrator at the Woodside Dental Center for the past two years. I am responsible for assisting patients with any questions or concerns regarding their dental care and insurance or payment options.
On a personal note I am a mother of four children, 3 boys and 1 girl. During my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my kids and husband by taking small trips, watching movies and playing sports or games.

My name is Jocelyn “Joy” Banas. I have been working at Woodside Dental Center as Head Dental Assistant since November 2008. I graduated from Toronto School of Business in Ontario, Canada in 2001. I have over 7 years experience in the dental field with advanced training in Endodontic, Orthodontic and Periodontal procedures.
I am married and have a beautiful daughter. During my spare time, I like to cook, read books, watch movies and spend time with my daughter.

With over 10 years experience in the dental field, I joined the Woodside Dental Center office in 2007. I immediately noticed how the patients who came to the office were given the utmost attention and high quality care. I am so happy to still be a part of this team that continues to deliver such care to all patients. During my spare time, I enjoy going to Broadway shows but my passion is singing with several choirs including my church choir and the Diocesan choir. Cherished, memorable moments were singing for the Pope and getting hugged and kissed by Pavarotti!

My name is Yaquelin Borges. I graduated in 2004 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have been part of the Woodside Dental Center team since November 2007. The thing I enjoy the most about being a hygienist is talking and building a relationship with my patient. My commitment with them is to promote good oral hygiene and general health through patient motivation and clinical treatments.
I like to be updated on new technologies and continuing education classes in order to improve the quality of services to every patient entrusted to my care. For extremely sensitive patients, I am certified to give local administered anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
